Synthetic hair wigs are easily cared for. If the wig gets wet, it will bounce back to its original style. You cannot curl or flat iron synthetic wigs. They are also less expensive.

Human hair wigs require daily styling like your own natural hair. If the wig gets wet you will have to blow dry and curl to achieve the style. They are also more expensive.

Is it necessary to wear a wig cap under my wig?

Not necessarily. Wig caps are used when you have a lot of hair to be covered. If you have fine hair a wig cap is not necessary.
